CNN —Over a decade after viewers said goodbye to beloved NBC series “The Office,” a new comedy set in the same universe as everyone’s favorite paper company Dunder Mifflin is coming to Peacock. Daniels and Koman will also produce the series with original “Office” creators Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. Many cast members became household names following the widespread and early success of the series, which won five Emmys throughout its run. Like its predecessor starring Gervais, the series followed a mockumentary-style format with cast members breaking the fourth wall as a crew followed staffers around an office, capturing tedious day-to-day tasks, office romances and at-times outlandish behavior. It is not yet known if any previous cast members will make cameos in the Peacock series, which is set to begin production in July.

The actor Rainn Wilson, who is best known for playing Dwight Schrute on “The Office,” has been candid about his history with anxiety and depression. In 2008, he founded Soul Pancake, a digital media company that explores “life’s big questions” as part of his search for clarity. Now, in a new travel series, “Rainn Wilson and the Geography of Bliss,” Wilson explores some of the world’s happiest and unhappiest places in an attempt to unlock the secrets of well-being. The show was inspired by Eric Weiner’s best-selling memoir of the same name, and Wilson’s destinations were chosen from the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network’s World Happiness Report, which rates life satisfaction in different nations. 'Weird: The Al Yankovic Story' review

CNN —“Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” certainly earns its title, operating, appropriately, not as an actual movie biography but an outlandish parody of one, filled with comedy cameos and bizarre flights of fancy. The amusing conceit behind the entire project – expanding upon a spoof movie trailer released in 2010 – is that a Weird Al biopic functions like one of his chart-topping songs, taking the form of the genre but turning it on its head. Directed by Eric Appel (who produced the aforementioned short, and shares script credit with Yankovic, who also has a cameo), “Weird” is produced through the folks at Funny or Die. Yet even allowing for the fact that “Weird” isn’t much more than a snack, as the man in question sang, just eat it. “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” premieres November 4 on the Roku Channel.
